DHAKA: Police, in a drive, detained three Shibir activists along with 70 petrol bombs, 50 cocktails and other firearms from a hideout on Nunachara hill under Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong early Sunday.

District Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP, Sadar) M Shahidullah confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the law enforcers conducted overnight drive in the area and arrested the trio.

The also recovered 70 petrol bombs, 50 cocktails, 10 machetes, two firearms and 20-rounds of cartridge from the Shibir hideout.
