DHAKA: A trader, who sustained burn injuries in petrol bomb attack on a bus in Tiger-pass area of Chittagong, lost his battle for life at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) Sunday afternoon. 

The victim was identified as Subhash Chandra Som, 56, son of late Birendra Kumar of Barokundo village under Sitakundo Thana of Chittagong.

Confirming the matter, DMCH resident doctor Partha Shankar Pal told banglanews that the ill-fated trader succumbed to his injuries around 12:00pm at the burn unit.

Razu Chowdhury, son-in-law of Som, told banglanews that on February 18 some miscreants hurled petrol bomb on a vehicle in the area that burned Subhash severely.

He was admitted to a local clinic, later, shifted at DMCH as his condition deteriorated.
