DHAKA: Two prisoners died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital on Wednesday.

The deceased were identified as Farhad Mandal, 38, (prisoner no. 24773/14), and Chan Mina, 60, (prosier no. 6773/15).

Of the prisoners, Farhad was taken to the hospital this morning where on-duty doctor declared dead around 8:30am.

Chan had undergone treatment at ward no 100 of DMCH for long and breathed his last at the same time there.

On-duty prison guard M Zakaria of DMCH prison cell confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The bodies have been kept at the hospital’s morgue for autopsy, said the prison guard.
