NOGAON: A truck killed two persons in separate areas on Naogaon-Rajshahi highway in the district on Thursday morning.

The diseased were identified as a rickshaw-puller Firoz Hossain (40), son of Yunus Ali of Ikartara village and a truck-helper Abu Baqar Siddique (20), son of Taser Ali of Hapania village of Naogaon sadar upazila.

Naogaon Sadar Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Zakirul Islam told banglanews that a Rajshahi-bound truck rammed into Firoz Hossain leaving him dead on the spot.

The truck also knocked Abu Baqar, helper of a different truck, as he chased to halt it, the OC added.

However, police have recovered the bodies.
