NAOGAON: Police recovered 12 petrol bombs and detained three people on suspicion from Jak-Amrul area of Atrai Upazila of the district on Friday.

The detainees are Saiful Islam, 22, babul Hossain, 35 and Boder Uddin, 50.

Atrai Thana Inspector Abdul Latif Khan told banglanews that acting on-tip off, a team of police carried out drive at Jak-Amrul village around 5:00am and recovered 12 petrol bombs which were buried underneath on the yard of one Montu Mia’s house.

During the time, three people were detained from the spot for interrogation under police custody, the police inspector added.

He suspected that miscreants had gathered the bombs to conduct subversive activates.

A case will be filed in this connection, said Abdul Latif Khan.
