Indian ships to visit Bangladesh

DHAKA: As part of ongoing bilateral naval exchanges between Bangladesh and its neighboring India, three ships of the First Training Squadron, Indian Navy are scheduled to visit Chittagong Port from March 19 to March 22.

The three ships INS Tir, INS Kesari and ICGS Varuna will arrive here on a goodwill visit.

Besides Bangladesh, the ships are on a training tour to the region covering Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia and Sri Lanka.

During the visit, officers, cadets and sailors of India and Bangladesh will interact with each other and enjoy benefit from the best practices being followed by both navies in the field of training.

The visit will further strengthen the friendship that has historically existed between the two navies.
