DHAKA: A 50-year-old man was killed in a road accident in Gulistan area of the city Tuesday noon.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Gaffar, resided in Rajasan area of Savar.

Victim’s sons Sohan and Ashik told banglanews that a bus knocked him down while they were crossing the road under Phulbaria Flyover in the area around 1:00pm, leaving their father severely injured.

Locals rushed him to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead around 1:30pm.

DMCH police camp Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASP) Sentu Chadra Dal confirmed the matter to banglanews.
