Govt rescues 2,385 trafficked Bangladeshis

FROM JATIYA SANGSAD: Foreign minister Abul Hasan Mahmood Ali said that government has rescued 2,385 Bangladesh nationals from Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia from the traps of human traffickers.

The minister made this disclosure at Jatiya Sangsad while replying to a question of Muhibur Rahman Manik on Monday.

Mahmood Ali explained that 138 people were rescued from Thailand, 738 from Malaysia, 781 from Indonesia and 728 from Myanmar from the traps of the human traffickers.

He further said that the foreign minister always takes initiatives to rescue genuine Bangladesh nationals trapped in other countries.
