DHAKA: Arju Akhtar Munni, a student of Tejgaon Girls College, reportedly committed suicide by hanging herself in city’s Tejgaon area on Thursday noon.

The deceased, hailed from Joydebpur of Gazipur, was a student of 1st year of the college.

Tejgaon Industrial Thana sub-inspector (SI) Marguf Tawhid told banglanews that her body was recovered from a house in Tejgaon at noon.

The reason behind her suicide could not be known immediately, he added.

The victim’s brother-in-law Shahjahan told banglanews that Munni recently got married following a love affairs that hurts her family members. Her marriage created an altercation in the family that may result the accident.
