DHAKA: A freedom fighter, who sustained burn injuries in a petrol bomb attack in Feni, died at Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) Saturday night.

The victim was identified as M Yusuf, 67, hailed from Kakiyachar village under Burichong Thana of Comilla.

Kawsar Khan, son of M Yusuf, told banglanews that some miscreants hurled a petrol bomb on a truck in Dagonbhuiyan area of Comilla on March 19.

The blast burns five people including Yusuf who were in the truck.

Later on March 20, the injured were rushed to the Comilla Sadar Hospital.

On March 21, Yusuf was shifted to the DMCH where the attending doctors declared him dead at night.

Resident Surgeon Partha Shankar Paul confirmed the matter to banglanews.
