COX’S BAZAR: Members of Coast Guard seized 78 thousand pieces of yaba tablets from Shahpari Dwip of Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar district on Thursday.

Sources said that the law enforcers conducted drives in river Naf in Natun Para area of Shahpari Dwip Thursday morning and seized yaba tablets worth of over Tk 2-crore.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Shahpari Dwip station commander Lt Bicson Chowdhury said they could not nab the smugglers as they fled the scene sensing the presence of law enforcers.
