2 schoolgirls found dead in C’nawabganj

CHAPAINAWABGANJ: After four days of missing, dead bodies of two schoolgirls were found in Boglauri village under Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj.

Police recovered the bodies from a maize field of the area on Wednesday noon.

The victims were identified as Latifa (9), daughter of Abdul Latif and Ankhi (9), daughter of Ashraful Alam of Kanchhira Daktarpara village. They were students of class three at Char Babupur Government School.

Shibganj police said that on information, they rushed to the spot and after recovering the bodies they sent it to Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy.

Moreover, the left sides of the bodies were dissected vertically and several innards were taken away.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Shibganj Thana officer-in-charge (OC) MM Mainul Islam said that they are trying to detect and nab the criminals.

However, the duo went missing from March 28 after leaving home for school. Their families filed General Diaries (GD) on the next day. They also informed Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Khakchapra border post camp.

After a massive hunt, the bodies were found in Boglauri village.
