DHAKA: A worker and a minor boy have died after falling from rooftop at two buildings in Khilgaon and Uttara areas of the city sometime between Friday afternoon and Saturday morning.

At Khilgaon, a worker slipped down to the ground from the rooftop of a 9-storied under-construction bulling in Banasree area around 10:30am, leaving him critically injured.

He was rushed to Al-Razi Islamia Hospital in the area where duty doctor declared him dead.

At Uttara, an 11-year-old boy fell down to the ground from the sixth floor of a multi-storied building that housed a madrasa in Uttara West Thana area Friday afternoon, leaving him seriously injured. 

He was rushed to a local hospital where duty doctor declared him dead.

Police sent both bodies to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.

Khilagon and Uttara West Thanas separately confirmed the matters to banglanews.
