DHAKA: Two people were electrocuted in Tilbapara Tarabagh area under Khilgaon Thana of the city Monday morning.

The deceased were identified as house owner Anwar Hossain, 50, and his tenant Abdur Razzak, 20.

Victim Anwar’s cousin Ashraful said the duo were electrocuted around 6:30am while walking through the rainwater at the yard which, however, remained electrified.

Locals rushed them to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the attending doctors declared them dead around 7:15am.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Khigaon Thana Mostafiz Bhuiyan told banglanews that being informed, police rushed to the spot.
