DHAKA: Expressing hope of more Japanese investment in Bangladesh in future, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday said her government is ready to give full support to the investors.
She came up with assurance while talking to outgoing Japanese ambassador to Bangladesh Shiro Sadoshima at Ganabhaban in city Saturday morning.
The premier lauded Japan's contribution to the economic development of Bangladesh. At the same time, she hoped that Japan will increase their investments in the country.
At the end of the meeting, Prime Minister's Press Secretary AKM Shamim Chowdhury informed the matter to reporters.
The Prime Minister also said, “Japan is a trusted friend and partner in the development of Bangladesh since its liberation war.”
She also thanked the Japan premier for cooperation in the development of Bangladesh.
Sheikh Hasina also thanked the Japan envoy for his rule in the development of relations between the two countries during service time here.
Referring to the Bangladesh’s cooperation, Shiro Sadoshimo said, “I spent a very good time in the country for last four years. I am pleased with the hospitality of Bangladesh.”
Japanese traders have also spent a lot of good time during the period, he said.
He further said Bangladesh will be in his heart forever.
Lauding tactical and dynamic leadership of Sheikh Hasina, he said, “Bangladesh is progressing. Relationship between Bangladesh and Japan is much deeper for the talented leadership of the Premier. “
Bangladesh’s financial markets are expected to increase in Japan, the ambassador hoped.
PM’s international affairs adviser Gouhar Rizvi and principal secretary Abul Kalam Azad were present at the time.
