CHITTAGONG: Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in separate raids, arrested an arms supplier and three terrorists and recovered huge amount of arms and admonitions from the port city Sunday night.

Mojaher, who used to supply arms to a terrorist training center at Lotmoni hill of Sadhanpur village under Banshkhali Upazila of the district, Lieutenant colonel Miftah Uddin Ahmed, commander of RAB-7, told banglanews.

During the drives, the elite force recovered five AK-22s, five foreign made pistols, 10 magazines and huge bullets from their possession, he added.



Mojaher was arrested from a residential hotel at station road under Kotwali Thana of the city at night. As per his confession, two terrorists were arrested from Akber Shah Thana area while another from a house of Cosmopolitan area of Panchlaish Thana with huge arms and ammunitions. 

Earlier on February 19, at least 25 people were detained from a madrasa under Hathazari Upazila. Of them, link with terrorist activities was found against 12 detainees.

As per their confession, RAB busted a terrorist training center at Lotmoni hill of Sadhanpur village under Banshkhali Upazila on February 21. During the raid, they arrested five terrorists and sized huge arms and training equipments from the den.
