2 killed in city road crashes

DHAKA: Two including an unidentified child were killed in separate road accidents in city on Tuesday.

A road construction worker Al Amin (35) was injured while pouring bitumen on Bishwa Road in city’s Shanir Akhra area at 12:30pm in the day.

After rescue he was rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where on-duty doctor declare him dead at 1:30pm.

Citing Al Amin’s coworker Masudur Rahman, DMCH police camp assistant sub-inspector (SI) Sentu Chandra Das confirmed the matter to banglanews.

On the other hand, an unidentified child, aged around 10, was killed on Dhaka-Mymensingh highway on early Tuesday.

Uttara East Thana sub-inspector (SI) Abdur Rahman said that the child was killed while crossing the road.

The body has been sent to DMCH morgue, he added.
