DHAKA: Police recovered bodies of a youth and a construction worker from city’s Fakirapool and Savar areas.

Body of the youth identified as Shahjalal (28), son of Abul Kashem of Debidwar upazila of Comilla, was recovered from Mid Star residential hotel in city’s Fakirapool area on Tuesday night.

Confirming the matter, Motijheel Thana sub-inspector (SI) Mostafizur Rahman said that on information, police broke the door of the room and recovered the body that was hanging from a ceiling fan.

On Wednesday morning, it was sent to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) for autopsy.

However, owner of the hotel and also Shahjalal’s elder brother Abdul Halim said that the deceased was in frustration as he gave money to several persons for going abroad.

He may commit suicide out of his frustration, Halim added.

Moreover, police on Wednesday morning recovered body of a construction worker from Chhayabithi area in Savar.

The victim was identified as Javed Mia (30), son of Harez Uddin of Lalpur upazila of Natore district.

Locals said that the deceased locked into an altercation with his wife Hafiza on Tuesday night. Seeing his hanging body in kitchen, they informed police.

He may commit suicide, they added.

Confirming the matter, Savar Model Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Abdul Motaleb Mia said that police have visited the place and process of filing a case is underway.
