DHAKA: Teachers and students of Dhaka University’s (DU) fine arts faculty, widely known as Charukala, organized a human-chain protesting the invasion of RC cola in the faculty organized ‘Baishakhi Mangal Shobhajatra’, a mass procession welcoming the Bangla New Year.

The protest program, began at 12:15pm on Thursday, was held in front of the faculty premises on DU campus in city.

Faculty dean Nisar Hossain, assistant proctor Professor Rabiul Islam, faculty teachers and students participated in the rally protesting the entry of scores of people with RC cola-sponsored T-shirts, caps and umbrellas in the faculty organized ‘Mangla Shobhajatra’, a mass procession in the morning of ‘Pahela Baishakh’ on April 14.
