KUSHTIA: A man and his son were burnt to death in shallow machine explosion in Moshaura village under Daulatpur Upazila of the district Saturday midnight.

The deceased were identified as Niamat Malitha alias Hekmat Ali, 50, peasant of Moshaura village and his 9-year-old boy Sohan.

Mathurapur police camp assistant sub-inspector (ASI) Rabiul Islam told banglanews that the duo went to their field to watch shallow machine at night and fell asleep at the machine room.

At 11:00pm, the machine suddenly blasted due to electric short circuit and moment after the room caught afire, leaving the father-son burnt to death.

Daulatpur Thana officer-in-charge Aminul Islam confirmed the matter to banglanews.
