Sonali Bank gets new chairman

DHAKA: Former Finance Secretary Fazle Kabir has been appointed as the new chairman of state-run Sonali Bank.

A circular from Bank and Financial Institution department of Finance Ministry made the disclosure Tuesday.

The post became vacated after Professor Habibur Rahman stepped down from the post showing personal ground some eight months before his retirement. He took the charge on December 27 in 2012.
