DHAKA: A woman was killed and two others, including a two-year-old child, injured in a road accident in Signboard area of Jatrabari in city Wednesday night.

Details of neither the deceased nor the injured could be known.

Police sources said the woman along with his children was going somewhere in the city, riding a van.

The accident took place when they arrived in a road - adjacent to Ta'mirul Millat Kamil Madrasah, women branch - of the area around 10:00pm, a vehicle ran over them, leaving the woman dead on the spot and the child and the van driver injured.

Locals rescued the injured and rushed then to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH).

However, it was not clear which vehicle ran over them there.

Meanwhile, the body has been kept at the DMCH morgue for autopsy.
