BSF guns down Bangladeshi in Dinajpur

DINAJPUR: A Bangladeshi cattle trader was killed by Border Security Force (BSF) in Dharmajain frontier under Birol Upazila of the district on Friday.

The victim was identified as Abdur Razzak, 45, hailed from Haripur Upazila of Thakurgaon district.

Local sources said the BSF members gunned down Razzak in the area around 6:30am, leaving him dead on the spot.

Later, they took the body to Indian territory and handed over to Gangarampur Thana of South Dinajpur.

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) Dinajpur-2 Battalion commander M Jamal told banglanews that they heard the sound of firing, but they are not sure about killing of Bangladeshi citizen.
