MGH contributes Tk 1Cr to LWM

Dhaka: MGH Group, a Bangladesh born multinational with operations in 16 countries, has contributed Taka One Crore for the Liberation War Museum `Nirman Fund’.

Anis Ahmed, Founder, and Group Chief Executive Officer of MGH Group handed over the cheque In a 'Fund Raising Ceremony' held at Muktijudha Jadughar on Saturday.

Mr. Asaduzzaman Noor, MP the minister for the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, received the cheque on behalf of LWM. Ali Zaker, eminent personality in the cultural arena of the country also spoke on the occasion.

Among other LWM trustees Sarwar Ali, Mafidul Huq, member secretary Tarique Ali were present.

Asaduzzaman Noor said, it is necessary to bring all the reminiscences of independence war under the roof of LWM and let the next generations to know better about the birth of the nation. He thanked MGH for extending its hands of cooperation in this noble venture.

MGH is honored to become a humble part of the overall building process of the New Liberation War Museum, an outstanding initiative of the Honorable Trustees to preserve the History for our forthcoming generations², Anis Ahmed stated during the ceremony.

Liberation War Museum was founded in 1996 at a building in Segun Bagicha, Dhaka purely on the basis of personal initiatives of the Trustees and in September this year, LWM is scheduled to inaugurate a sprawling 220,000 square feet brand new museum flanked by far more displayable materials representing our War of Independence, Ali Zaker said while he was describing about the project during the donation awarding ceremony.
