DHAKA: A female cleaner of Dhaka North City Corporation was killed as a speedy truck ran over her in Mohakhali rail crossing area of the city early Monday.

The deceased was identified as Mousumi Akter, 35, wife of Bablu Mian, who resided at the Staff Colony in Mohakhali.

Banani Thana Officer-In-Charge (OC) Abu Mosanna confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The road mishap took place around 2:00am. However, details about it could not be known.

Police recovered the body from the spot and sent it to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy, the OC said.
