SIRAJGANJ: Three people were killed after being struck by lightning in three villages under Shahjadpur Upazila of the district on Thursday.

The deceased were identified as Farhad Hossain, 40, of Char Angura village, Shaher Ali, 35, Narua village and Ayub Ali, 38, Jamirta village of the upazila.

The incidents occurred as nor’wester with thunderbolts lashed the upazila for an hour from 4:30pm.

Local representatives of the people confirmed the deaths of three people to banglanews.
