DHAKA: Authorities concerned postponed the recruitment test of Agrani Bank Limited for senior officer and officer (cash) under freedom fighter quota which was set to be held on Friday morning, prompting the candidates to stage demonstration in the city.
Postponement of the test was announced through a release around 11:30am nearly two hours after the test was scheduled to begin at 9:30am at two centers – Willes Little Flower School and College and Mohammadpur Preparatory High Schoo, in the city.
The test has been suspended as the authorities supplied a total of 700 question papers against 4,000 examinees, Ramna Thana Officer-In-Charge (OC) Mashiur Rahman told banglanews.
Anger over the postponement, the candidates blocked the road in Asad Gate area of Mohammadpur, halting vehicular movements.
OC Azizul Haque of Mohammadpur Thana confirmed the matter to banglanews.
