DHAKA: A magnitude 7.3 quake strikes Bangladesh, India and Nepal at 1:05:19pm Bangladesh time less than three weeks after another devastating quake had killed more than 8,000 people in Nepal, the USGS has reported.
According to the data acquired from USGS website, the quake was at a depth of 15 kilometers and its epicenter was 76 kilometer East of Kathmandu, capital city of Nepal.
The quake was followed by four more aftershocks with a maximum 6.1 magnitude on Richter scale.
Earlier on April 25, a 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit Nepal, killing at least 8,046 people and injuring more than 17,800.
More than 300,000 homes were destroyed in the quake, according United Nations.
