DHAKA: Russian ambassador to Bangladesh Alexander A Nikolaev on Wednesday handed over a letter by Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev to his Bangladesh counterpart Sheikh Hasina while paying a courtesy visit at her office in city.

Confirming the matter, the premier’s press secretary AKM Shamim Chowdhury told the journalists that in the letter the Russian PM talked about the dynamic bilateral relationship between the two countries.

The premier of Russian Federation also said relationship between the two countries have reached at a new height and this is why many mega projects like setting up nuclear power plants are being implemented bilaterally.

Medvedev also requested Sheikh Hasina to implement the Rooppur Nuclear Power Plant quickly.

Moreover, Sheikh Hasina expressed her good wishes to the Russian premier and president through the ambassador.
