COX’S BAZAR: Detective Branch (BD) of police detained a youth with some 12,000 pieces of Yaba tablets from Sadar Upazila of the district Thursday night.

The detainee was identified as M Delwar Hossain, 26, son of Mir Hossain of Nunachari village under Moheshkhali Upazila of the district.

Police sources said that tipped-off, DB nabbed  Delwar with the contraband tablets, worth about Tk 36 lakhs, in front of Shah Amin bus counter on Link Road of Sadar Upazila around 11:30am.

BF Officer-In-Charge (OC) Dewan Abul Hossain told banglanews that confirmed the matter to banglanews.

A case will be lodged against Delwar, followed by producing him before the court, said the OC.
