COMILLA: A woman and her six-month old son were burnt to death at Sarkarpur village under Daudkandi upazila of the district on Wednesday.

The victims were identified as Hasina Begum, 32, wife of Shahjahan Sikdar and their son Yasin of the village.

Daudkandi Thana sub-inspector (SI) Anwar Hossain confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the fire originated from an electric short-circuit in the house, leaving the duo died.

Police also visited the spot for investigation, the SI added.
