DHAKA: A worker was electrocuted in Railway Colony area under Shahjahanpur Thana of the city on Friday.

The deceased was identified as M Sahed, 30, employee of a bedding store and son of Abu Naser oat Romapur village of Chatkhil Thana in Noakhali district.

Shahkahanpur Thana Sub-Inspector (SI) Himangshu Chandra Sutradhar confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said Sahed was electrocuted when he came in contract with live electric wire while he was opening the shutter of the godown in the area in the morning.

Being informed police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. Later, they sent it to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital morgue (DMCH) for autopsy.
