DHAKA: Fire caught in a furniture market in city’s Panthapath area on Sunday noon came under control.

It was originated at the godown and furniture factory of Mohammad Liton. Primarily, it was told that the fire might be originated from the chemical used for furniture.

On information, five fire fighter units rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

Fire service assistant director Mamun Mahmud told banglanes that they had doused the fire at 1:30pm.

Liton’s brother Babu claimed that the fire has burnt the furniture worth of Taka 15 lakh.
