DHAKA: International Crimes Tribunal-2 sent four ‘Cox’s Bazar razakars’ to jail in cases filed for their alleged crimes against humanity during liberation war in 1971.
Three-member tribunal, headed by Justice Obaidul Hasan, passed the order on Sunday after hearing.
The four accused are Maheshkhali unit Jamaat-e-Islami amir Osman Gani, 62, of Gharukghata, Nurul Islam, 75, of Nalbila, Jinnat Ali alias Jinnah, 72, of Muhuridol and Badshah Mia.
Earlier on May 21, the tribunal issued warrants of arrest against 16 war crimes suspects.
Later, Detective Branch of police arrested the four war crimes accused from different places in Moheshkhali upazila of district.
Besides, district DB police arrested another accused Shamsudduha Saturday late night. He will be handed over to the tribunal later.
