DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday said the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) countries have to work concertedly as poverty was its common enemy.
She also said there would not have been lamentations over food if the world powers spent a small part of their military expenditure for the purpose of food security.
The premier was addressing the inaugural ceremony of three-day South Asia Right to Food (SARF) Conference 2015 at Krishibid Institution in city in the afternoon.
She also Food is the most important of five fundamental rights. We have achieved enviable success in science and technology but yet to ensure sufficient food for all.
