DHAKA: Customs department seized 120 cartons of foreign cigarettes from a passenger at Hazral Shahjalal International Airport of the city on Monday.

Assistant Commissioner of Dhaka Customs House Preventive Unit Shahiduzzaman Sarkar confirmed the matter.

He said a team of Dhaka Customs House Preventive Unit searched the baggage of a passenger, who arrived at Dhaka from Malaysia, for his suspicious movement around 8:00am.

During search, they recovered 120 cartons, containing cigarettes of different brands, from his luggage.
