Tk 50lakh medicines seized at Shahjalal

DHAKA: The customs officials of Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday seized medicines worth Tk 50 lakhs from the Freight of the airport.

Assistant Commissioner (preventive) of customs authority Shahiduzzaman Sarker confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The drugs, which are used for pregnant women and patients of cancer and kidney diseases, were found around 1:30pm with no company label, he added.

Someone kept these medicines here with the help of any preventive department’s official, he added.
