NARAYANGANJ: Two Readymade Garment workers were crushed under wheels of a train and four others sustained severe injuries in Battola area of Fatullah in the district sadar on Thursday morning.

All victims were garments workers, but their details could not be known immediately.

Witnesses said six people were crushed under wheels of the Narayanganj-bound train as it allegedly did not play whistle to alert the pedestrians who were passing the level crossing around 7:50am, leaving two people dead on the spot and others critically injured.

Fatullah Model Thana sub-inspector (SI) Mohammad Jinnah confirmed the matter to banglanews.

However, locals have removed the bodies before the law enforcers rushed to the spot.

When contacted, Narayanganj Railway police outpost in-charge SI Kuddus Miah admitted that they received such information.
