NARAYANGANJ: The launch services in all routes from Narayanganj have been suspended from Thursday morning due to rough weather.

The vessel plying from Narayanganj central terminal to different routes, including Chandpur, Shariatpur and Munshiganj, will remain halted till further notice.

The authorities concerned announced the suspension around 7:00am.

Bangladesh Launch Owners Association vice-president Badiuzzaman Badal said at least 70 launches ply daily in the suspended routes.

However, the launch plying will come to normalcy if the weather becomes favorable.
