DHAKA: A 13-year-old boy was electrocuted in Kajla in city’s Jatrabari area on Thursday.

The victim was identified as Nazmul, worker of a factory in the area.

The deceased’s father Kalu Miah told banglanews that Nazmul was electrocuted around 10:30am when he came in contact with the electrified water caused by a torn out live wire during heavy rain.

Locals rushed Nazmul to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) where the attending doctors declared him dead around 11:45am.

The body was kept at DMCH morgue for autopsy.
