DHAKA: Two unidentified persons were crushed under trains in Kuril highway and Khilkhet’s Kawla areas of the capital on Tuesday morning.

Officer-in-charge (OC) of Dhaka Railway Thana Abdul Mazid confirmed the matter to banglanews.

He said the train hit an 65-year old man in Kuril area in the morning, leaving him severely injured.

Locals whisked him to the Kurmitola Hospital where the attending doctors declared him dead around 8:30am.

In another accident, a woman aged around 35-year was killed as the train crushed her in Khilkhet’s Kawla area around 9:30am.

The bodies were sent to the Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) morgue for autopsy.
