BRAHMANBARIA: Two youth were killed in a road accident on Dhaka-Chittagong highway at Nandanpur area of the Sadar upazila Saturday night.

The deceased were identified as Ibrahim, 20, son of one Ali mia and Yasin, 18, son of one Sono Mia, hailed from Suhilpur village of the upazila.

Local sources said while chasing a drug cartel leader’s vehicle, driver of a Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) vehicle lost his control over the steering and plunged into a roadside ditch around 8:00pm, leaving two passers-by dead on the spot.

Sub-Inspector of Sadar Thana Abul Quashem confirmed the matter to banglanews.

The bodies were brought to the hospital, he added.
