JESSORE:  Two siblings died of electrocution and two other sustained injuries at Dodaria village under Monirumpur Upazila of the district on Sunday.

The deceased were identified as Milon, 32, and Sumon, 23, sons of Abdul Aziz of  Dodaria village in the upazila.

Confirming the matter, Monirumpur Thana Officer-in-Charge Molla Khabir Ahmed told banglanews that a live electric wire falls on in pond water on Sunday morning.  Shimul got electrocuted when he went the pond to wash hands. 

Later, his mother Fatema, two cousins Milon and Sumon got electrocuted as they tried to save Shimul.  Milon died of electrocution on the spot and others injured critically.

The injured –- Sumon, Shimul, 9, and Fatema, 32, -- were admitted to Jessore 250-bed Hospital where Sumon succumbed to his injuries.
