DHAKA: A newspaper hawker was killed in a road accident in city’s Chairmanbari area Tuesday evening.

The victim has been identified as Mohammad Siam (18), son of Abdul Hannan, hailed from Ramganj Thana of Luxmipur district.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police camp assistant sub-inspector (SI) Sentu Chandra Das said that the accident took place around 7:30pm as a private car hit Siam who was crossing the road.

Later, pedestrians rushed him to DMCH where on-duty doctor declared him on arrival, he added.

The body has been kept at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
