PM condemns France terrorist attack

DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Saturday strongly condemned the terrorist attack at a gas factory near the city of Lyon in France.

PM’s press wing confirmed the matter on Saturday.

In a message sent to French President Francois Hollande, she said, “This dastardly attack again shows the brutal force of the terrorists that must be destroyed completely with the united efforts of civilized humanity”.

The premier reiterated that people of Bangladesh firmly stand by the friendly people of France in fighting terrorism and violent extremism of any kind and reaffirmed incumbent government’s stern policy of zero tolerance against all kinds of terrorism and extremism.

She further said, “We express our deepest condolence and heartfelt sympathy to you and the people of France and particularly to the near and dear ones of the victim of the terrorist attack”.

“We the civilized, democratic and secular peoples of the world will continue our fight against the evils of terror who must be identified only as terrorists irrespective of their colour, race or religion,” she added.

Two people were hurt in a blast at the US-owned factory in Saint-Quentin-Fallavier, about 30 kilometers outside of Lyon where one person was found decapitated Friday.
