DHAKA: Police nabbed two drug peddlers with yaba tablets from Asad Avenue in city’s Mohammadpur area early Monday.

The detainees have been identified as Mintu Islam (35) and Jahangir (45).

Police seized 5,000 pieces of yaba tablets from the possession of the detainees.

Confirming the matter to banglanews, Mohammadpur Thana officer-in-charge (OC) Azizul Haque said that on tip-off, they conducted a drive in Asad Avenue area and nabbed the duo.

Case under Narcotics Control Act has been filed against the detainees, he added.
