RAJSHAHI: At least two people were killed and 10 injured as a bus and truck collided head-on on Rajshahi-Chanpainawabganj highway at Godagari upazila of the district.

The accident took place around 1:00pm Tuesday at Kazipur of the upazila.

The deceased were identified as Shyamal Das (30) of Chanpaibnawabganj district and Manik Hossain (28) of Joypurhat district.

Sources said two of the passengers died on spot.

Godagari Thana officer-in-charge (OC) SM Farhad confirmed the matter to banglanews.

Law enforcers have seized both the vehicles but drivers had fled the scene, he added.

According to him, Godagari Upazila Nirnahi Officer Khalid Hossain visited the spot.
