CHITTAGONG: Detective Branch of Chittagong Metropolitan Police has decided to seek assistance from Interpol and Scotland Yard in nabbing Bokul Mia, a UK redsident and Raju, a India national after being confirmed about their involvement in liquid cocaine haul.
The DB has got some information about Bokul Mia and Raju from the four arrestees, who were nabbed for their alleged link with the cocaine consignment seized at Chittagong port.
Moreover, police has been working to collect detailed information about the duo.
City police deputy commissioner (DB) Kusum Dewan told banglanews that police has got information about the involvement of two, one from the UK and other from India, after questioning the detainees.
‘We will seek assistance from Interpol and Scotland Yard to catch the foreign nationals,’ he added.
However, DB police arrested four people so far for their alleged involvement in cocaine consignment seized at Chittagong port.
The four arrestees are Garments Exporter organization Mandol Group commercial executive Atiqur Rahman, officer of a developer company Mostafa Kamal and Cosco Bangladesh Shipping Lines Limited manager (corporate, sales and marketing) AK Azad and Khan Jahan Ali Limited officer Golam Mostafa Sohel.
Earlier on June 6, customs intelligence officials seized a consignment of sunflower oil on suspicion.
Later on June 27, customs department said they have found the presence of cocaine in the oil after chemical test in laboratory.
