Tk 1-lakh snatched in Motijheel

DHAKA: A group of muggers snatched Tk 1-lakh from a businessman on Dilkusha Road in city’s Motijheel area on Sunday noon.

The victim, identified as Nurul Islam Mirdha, told banglanews that he was going to buy a ticket from Biman Bangladesh Airlines office in Motijheel by a rickshaw.

Two men riding on a motorbike intercepted him and snatched the bag with Tk 1-lakh.

Process of filing a general diary (GD) in Motijheel Thana is underway, the victim added.
