DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina hosted an iftar program for leaders of several political parties at her Ganabhaban official residence in city on Monday evening.

PM’s special envoy and also opposition Jatiya Party chairman HM Ershad, Speaker Dr Shirin Sharmin Chaudhury, commerce minister Tofail Ahmed, industries minister Amir Hossain Amu, Bangladesh Communist Party president Mujahidul Islam Selim, ruling Awami League (AL) alliance Workers Party chairman and also civil aviation minister Rashed Khan Menon and another AL alliance Jatiya Samajtantrik Dal president and also information minister Hasanul Haque Inu, among others, were present at the program.

Besides, a good number of political leaders, cabinet members, lawmakers and civil and military high-ups also attended the event.

Prior to the iftar, the premier exchanged views with the guests and enquired about their wellbeing.
